With the past few years being personally and collectively challenging, I’ve grown more aware of how much we all need to care for our nervous systems. After the lockdown period, I realized that I myself was touch starved and living in pure survival mode and I heard this from many of my friends and colleagues too. Although I long for connection with others, it’s also one of my biggest fears. That’s why I’m so passionate about the work I do – to provide therapies that will help YOU feel comfortable in your own skin through healing touch, massage, nervous system regulation, Shakti dances and sound meditations. My Hot Stones treatment is often described as “like an hour-long hug”, which is why I incorporate it into most of my treatments here at Karenza Therapies.
I also co-host two events a month:
Shakti Dance – The Yoga of Dance with Cacao Ceremony which is a space where you can connect with like minded souls, dance, free yourself, move your body, share in circle, and open your hearts, this is once a month at Charlton Marshall Village Hall.
Evening Mediation with Nic Wood which is held at Charlton Marshall Village Hall in Blandford. An evening where we weave guided meditation with the sounds of the tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, kochi chimes, drums, gong and tuning forks.
Why Hot Stone Massage and not standard hands on massage?
The hot stone therapy i deliver is a deluxe version of a regular hands on massage!! It’s such a nurturing feeling, being wrapped in the warmth of the stones and it’s not just a winter treatment, i offer this all year round!
By working the heat of the stones into your muscles first, they are softer and more relaxed so that when i then apply my hands you’re getting a deeper massage. The warmth of each stroke with the stones can be up to 5-10 times deeper than hands alone. You really are getting the best of both worlds.
The hot stones are also working to regulate your nervous system, which in turn calms your mind so you are able to let go and deeply relax into your time on the couch.
Combine the stones with Reiki for The Heaven & Earth treatment and you really do have the ultimate in relaxation. The majority of my clients are able to fall asleep during this treatment which is incredible for your wellbeing as your mind can get out of the way and integrate the beautiful energies being delivered and your body can activate its own innate transformational abilities.

Karenza Therapies has now moved to Charlton Marshall, just outside of Blandford town centre. I am open Monday to Friday for hot stone massage, pregnancy massage, reiki/energy work and sound meditation sessions (weekends & evenings by special arrangement).
